FINE ANTIQUE MATHEWS ART NOUVEAU .999 STERLING SILVER OVERLAY CRUET PITCHER

Description

Beautiful and beautifully made sterling silver overlay cruet / pitcher made by the Mathews Co., incorporated in 1907 and hallmarked with a curved sword through an M.  Also marked 810 and 999-1000 ("pure" silver).  In virtually pristine condition with no silver missing, no damage or repairs, just very light polishing marks.  Heart shaped cartouche with a monogram that is an M.  Hallmarks are on a bottom edge.
Also, there is a polished pontil and totally polished bottom surrounding the pontil.  There is an inventory or production number engraved at the bottom end of the stopper (2216).
