    Description

Snail Inkwell, circa 1860.  It is Porcelain with beautiful decoration.
One of the most unusual is the porcelain " Snail".  A revolving tilting inkwell.  It looks
like a snail on a Sterling Silver saucer.  The snail revolves so the head tilts up
exposing the opening for the pen to get ink.
The era of the inkwell that interests most collectors began in the 18th century.
The Sterling Silver saucers marked  "C. E. Keyster 800" on back and
Daisy Diirr on the front.  There are other Hallmarks I can't read or understand.
5" is Saucer Diameter X 2 1/2 " H.  Pen included    No cracks or Dents
