    "Lima Ratus"
    or 500 Rupiah note from the
    "Bank of Indonesia"
    . This note was authorized in 1992 and issued in 1997.
    After World War II Indonesia had declared itself independent from the Dutch and elected Sukarno the first President. Like many Javanese people he only had the single name. He served until 1967.
